Posted April 22, 2011. I have a plated 04 450 EXC with the stock stator and led brake light/turn signals, the headlight is stock hi/low. The problem I'm having is the headlight just started flickering at all times, idle, reving, and while riding. This is a new problem, the headlight has been bright since I've owned the bike (Sept, 10) and I've Plain and simple; 450 for the track, 500 for the street. The 450 won't last long because it wasn't designed for longevity. Engine oil every 10 hours, valve check every 30 hours, 50 hours on a piston (minor engine service), 100 hours for a crank rebuild, valve train replacement, full bearing replacement (major engine service).. haha. Model note- 2020 KTM SXF/XCF/XC and Husqvarva FC/FX/TX models have a factory fitted capacitor stock which will allow these bikes to be bump/hill started and run if the battery is dead. However, the 2020 KTM XC-W/XCF-W/EXC-F/EXC and Husqvarna TE/FE/FES do not have a capacitor fitted stock and A 2010 KTM 690 R with Rally Raid UK front accessory tanks (2x 5 liter capacity twin front tanks on either side radiator shroud) and KTM hardparts roadbook bracket, MD roadbook roller and ICO tripmeter.
