You can take a train from Frankfurt Hbf to Lech via Ulm Hauptbahnhof, Lindau-Reutin, Bregenz, Langen Am Arlberg, and Langen Am Arlberg Bahnhof in around 7h 47m. Alternatively, you can take a bus from Frankfurt Hbf to Lech via Frankfurt central train station, Bregenz bus station, Bregenz Bahnhof, and Hochkrumbach Saloberlifte in around 10h 18m.
The Flexenbahn cableway did open in winter 2016/17 and makes skiing at the Arlberg even more varied and comfortable. With the help of the new link between Zürs and Stuben/Rauz, skiers are able to reach all ski locations on the Arlberg easily and comfortably on skis – from St. Anton and St. Christoph via Stuben, Zürs, Lech and Oberlech through to Schröcken and Warth.
This ski mecca hopefully has all complete now for a brand new lifts connecting Lech with ski areas Warth / Schrocken. This makes for a remarkable inter connected area - same lift ticket too. From Vienna train connection via Langen or St Anton and them easy taxi ride.
The music is loud, it’s rammed, and if you want a seat then book in well ahead of arriving into St Anton. Try the bus over to Lech to ski the Lech and Warth regions, and then the fantastic route al the way back via Zurs to get back to St Anton, the skiing was arguably better out of St Anton as it wasn’t as busy. …
I have always enjoyed the Lech, Zurs, St. Anton, St Christoph , Stuben area. St. Anton with a great nightlife-Lech and Zurs - good apre ski - more nightlife to hotels . High altitude to provide an excelent chance of good amount of snow and excelent conditions. Fine choice of varied accomodations and most an easy walk to the lifts.
If you go to Lech there are 3 options to get there: Ski down to Alpe Rauz and take the free shuttle. It's free, it's fairly quick but it can get very crowded and unpleasant. Take the paying bus from St Anton, it's about €5 for a return ticket, much more civilized and if you get the bus at about 8:30 you'll be on the slopes in Lech before they

Until December 2016, you had to catch a bus to get from St Anton to Lech - a sweaty 40-minute ride that was a lot of faff. But the new Flexenbahn gondola in Arlberg means you can ski Lech to St Anton and vice versa - all on piste - and it has upped the piste possibilities to 305km of lift-linked skiing.
